Bridge Closed on IA 150 in Buchanan County - Issued 2:05 PM

Iowa Highway 150 is closed to traffic in both directions at mile marker 36.8, around three miles south of Independence in Buchanan County.  Iowa DOT crews are inspecting and making repairs to the Bear Creek bridge at that location.  Signage is posted for the highway's detour, which consists of the following routes: County Road D-47 east to County Road W-40 north to US Highway 20 and west to Iowa Highway 150.  It is unknown at this time when the highway will reopen.
