U.S. 20 Eastbound Lanes Reduced to Passing on the Shoulder Near Independence. - Issued 7:26 PM

Both U.S. 20 eastbound lanes are closed at mile marker 256 due to pavement blowup.  Iowa State Patrol is on scene directing traffic on to the shoulder to pass around blowup.  Unknown to length of closure of both lanes.  Use caution and expect delays.  Incident is 2 miles east of the Independence exit.
